Welcome to my homepage! I am Sowgat Muzahid, a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Leiden Observatory in the Netherlands. I have been trying to understand the role of diffuse gas in galaxy formation and evolution using astronomical data (imaging and spectroscopy) obtained from the Hubble Space Telescope (HST), the Very Large Telescope (VLT), the Keck, the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) and the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT). I am in love with absorption lines that are seen in the spectra of distant quasars.
